The 4th annual Fete at the Fort Brew Fest will be held on Saturday, October 5th, 2013 from 11 am to 4 pm at Historic Fort de Chartres in Prairie du Rocher, IL. Each brewery will have their own booth and many of the booths will be staffed by the brewers themselves. Come enjoy a beautiful fall afternoon in an 18th Century National Historic Landmark. Imagine mingling with some of your favorite brewers and experiencing new beers from other excellent brewers from around the midwest! All of this taking place at a French fort with 18th century reenactors- natives, French Marines, British soldiers, Cannon crews, Fife and Drum Corps, and Bagpipe groups to name a few! Save Illinois History has been created as a foundation to support The Historic Sites of Illinois. We are currently concentrating on The Illinois Historic French District. This includes - Fort de Chartres, The Cahokia Court House, The Menard Home and Old Fort Kaskaskia. Initially, we will raise money for the sites in the Historic French District so that they can stay operational. In addition, as our foundation grows we will reach out to the other Illinois Historic Sites that are in need. Our mission is to raise awareness of Illinois history through financially supporting, educating and keeping operational the great historic sites of Illinois.
