Save Illinois History invites you to become one of the select Brewers to help kick off the 2nd annual Fete at the Fort Brew Fest that will be held on Saturday, October 1st, 2011 from 11 am to 4 pm at Historic Fort de Chartres in Prairie du Rocher, IL. Paid visitors will receive a commemorative Fort de Chartres sampling glass and enjoy beer samples from participating breweries. Robert "Chick" Fritz Distributor in Belleville, IL will handle all beer logistics (outlined in the sign-up sheet) with each brewer having an 8 foot serving area. Advertising will be placed in over 2100 serving establishments over a 21 county area in central to southern Illinois. A large amount of advertisement will take place in Missouri. Historic Fort de Chartres is less than an hour from downtown St. Louis, Missouri. St. Genevieve, Missouri is a short ferry ride across the Mississippi River. Many people travel from Missouri to Fort de Chartres.
In addition to the unique Brew Fest, a VIP dinner in an 18th century Tavern will take place the Friday evening before the event. You will not want to miss this event! The beautiful fall weekend will surely provide a fabulous tasting environment for over 3000 attendees. Popular and period music will echo throughout the fort and 18th century reenactors will create a special ambiance for visitors and brewers alike.
